Outsider art is pieces created by the insane or institutionalized. Its almost disturbing how many of these artists do not have a firm grasp on reality but can still convey how they view the world through these artworks.
Another cool type of creativity comes from savants. I've always been fascinated with those who are completely dependent on others to live day to day, save one skill that goes far above and beyond what a normal person can do.
